Battle Boredom – Without Buying a Thing

Have you ever headed out for a walk or errand run only to return with an armload of shopping bags? It happens to the best of us, and we certainly don’t discount the power of a little retail therapy every now and then. But if feeling bored, lonely or stressed often sends you straight to the shops, drop that credit card and ask yourself this: what are you reallytrying to buy?

The answer is often a long way from that new pair of jeans / yoga pants / handbag (insert shopping weakness here). And when it comes to spending your money, wouldn’t you rather put it toward something you truly covet (like a vacation or your first home), rather than using it as a proxy for something credit – and even cash – can’t buy?
